Saturday. Closed Sunday. OBITUARIES Vincent Paul Barranco M.D. Vincent Paul Barranco was born October 11, 1937, to Rosario "Sam" and Rose Barranco in Grenada, Mississippi. He attended the University of Tulsa, and received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1962.

His internship was spent in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Touro Infirmary. He subsequently served three years in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in Fairbanks, Alaska. Returning to Oklahoma, he completed a residency in Dermatology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. In 1969, he entered into private practice in Tulsa with Dwane Minor and Kendrick Doran, forming the Tulsa Dermatology Clinic.

Along with his accomplished practice, Vince was also Board Certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology, reviewed for the Archives of Dermatology and Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, was a member the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Dermatology, Clinical Professor of Dermatology at The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine at Tulsa and a member of the South Central Dermatology Congress, holding positions of Secretary General and President. In addition, he authored many articles for medical publications. Vince's life was rich with the joy of being a devoted husband and father. He loved the practice of medicine and helping his patients. His enthusiasm for music, life at the lake and vacations with family and friends had no limit.

He had a passion for learning and it brought him great pleasure to share his expertise and knowledge with his patients, family and friends. His spiritual journey was an important part of his life and led him to become a Benedictine Oblate. Vince is survived by Lee Anne, his wife of 51 years, daughter Susie Wrona and husband Rick, son Paul Barranco and wife Tonya, daughter Amy Frisillo and husband Eric, grandsons; Will and Wait Wrona, Joseph Dunn and Vincent Paul Barranco III, and Dominic and Vincent Frisillo.
